Ascend s a lifestyle management company for a select number of individuals and corporate clients – they are creators of some of the finest residential establishments in the country.

Their collective experience designing, managing and delivering some of the most exclusive luxury developments in the UK have earned the opportunity to showcase a new bread of bespoke home. An Ascend Home will truly be like no other. Ascend also specialises in luxury lifestyle and services.

Challenge

Startup Ascend approached Stellarise when they needed to hit the ground running and were looking to have a fully functioning office with server, printers and backup within a week. They had a very tight deadline to keep to on the project and things were getting tense – that’s why a professional help was required.

With his office secured, he needed a fully functioning network to share documents, printers and backup to the companies MacBooks and iMacs centrally.

The Results

After listening to Carl’s requirements, we designed a network around the Mac Mini OS X Server. This gives Ascend to centralised user accounts, meaning Carl can keep control over which staff have access to what documents. With additional storage, the Mac Mini Server also acts as a Time Machine backup server for the team’s other Macs. Best of all, the Mac Mini Server doubles as a very capable media server, so the team is constantly kept up-to-date with Sky News. We worked to a tight deadline and built the network offsite, before delivering and setting it up at the new Ascend office.

Post installation we worked with the managed office provider to resolve some ongoing issues and ensure that everything worked as it should.
